Blabbering of a Fool
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End
Watched Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End…and I must say, despite all the plain reviews and complains I’ve heard about it, it was quite a ride for me. The epic battle between the Flying Dutchman and the Black Pearl was nothing like I’ve ever seen (in the movies, of course).
However, there was something left unanswered in the movie: Just what was the mark left by Captain Jack Sparrow on Cutler Beckett?
Anyway, like Spider-Man 3, the supporting actor has once again stolen the show from the main lead, this time being Mr Geoffrey Rush, superbly portraying Captain Barbossa, and showing us what a pirate should really be like. Captain Jack Sparrow is still quite the pirate everyone’s interested in…only problem is, there’s too much of him in this sequel. Literally.
And yah, Mr Chow Yun Fat has too little screen time. 😦 And I have no idea what’s the purpose for introducing Calypso.
The ending’s not too bad, with quite a twist actually…and if you did stay after the credits, it is a good ending after all.
And DAMN, I like Jack the monkey so much.
